We have worked extensively with the City of Chicago to provide a different approach to commercial water heating. Our products have been installed throughout Chicago, on Chicago Fire Department stations, Chicago Police Department district stations, Senior Day Centers, as well as Senior/Assisted Living Centers and several other municipal buildings, including the Cultural Center, Midway Airport and O'Hare Field Fire and Rescue stations.
A number of new projects are underway as well, including the Illinois Toll Road Authority, Northern Illinois University, University of Illinois, Elmhurst College and the David Lee Animal Shelter, to name a few.

Dependence on natural gas as an energy resource in the United States has significantly increased in the past decade, along with increased prices, price volatility, and concerns about sustainability and security of supply. In 2004, water heating in the residential sector consumed about 23% of all residential natural gas use, 8% of all residential electricity use, and about 12% of total residential energy expenditures. Nationwide, about 8% of all end-use natural gas is used to heat water in commercial and residential buildings. Water heating alone can displace 3.5% of total US energy demand (2004); these figures do not even consider the multiple other applications of solar thermal.
